DIVERSITY COMMITTEES SYNOPSIS
Student Committee
Made up of upper school students, this committee tackle issues facing students at all levels of PCA. This committee also provides input from the student perspective in the faculty’s effort to teach and educate the student body on diversity.
Faculty/Staff Committee
This committee, with representatives from the administration as well as teachers, work to strengthen in the faculty in areas of diversity. This includes recruitment of qualified faculty and staff members, curriculum, as well as relationship between faculty and staff members and relationship to the student body.
Parent Committee
Parents assist the Faculty/Staff Committee and Student Committee achieving their goals and objectives. This committee also provides a source for parents of PCA students to address needs, concerns and questions.
All School Diversity Committee
The objective of this committee is to oversee the establishment of the principles and goals as stated in the PCA diversity mission statement and Action Plan. This committee, made up of PCA leadership at all levels, discusses current and future diversity issues and how they relate to the PCA community. Short- and long-term initiatives will be made in regards to school policy relating to diversity.
