The PCA Learning Lab offers academic assistance for students to help them reach their full potential and experience success.

The Learning Lab Partners Organization includes parents and friends of the PCA Learning Lab which
assists students with learning differences. Volunteer opportunities include assisting the staff with parent meetings, fundraising, and communication to our families.

Lower School Program

The Lower School Program addresses content mastery and specific skill intervention. The PCA Learning Lab staff uses multi-sensory, creative tools and methods to introduce, re-teach and reinforce concepts or skills through individual and small group attention. Partnering with the classroom teachers and parents, student progress is closely monitored, documented, and reported. Our goal is that the skills practiced in the PCA Learning Lab setting will transfer to improved classroom performance.

Upper School Program

The Upper School Program is designed to assist students individually and in small groups, and provide support primarily through reinforcing organizational skills, note taking, and review of concepts, memorization and test preparation. The PCA Learning Lab staff tracks progress through frequent communication with teachers and parents, recommending modifications, and acts as a liaison between home and school. The role of the PCA Learning Lab staff may best be described as that of a "case manager."
