Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
Original Adaptation by James Maxwell, revised by Alan Stanford
All of the wit and romance of Jane Austen's classic 1813 novel come to life in this refreshingly fast-paced and humorous adaptation. Finding a husband is hardly Elizabeth Bennet's most urgent priority. But with four sisters, an overzealous match-making mother, and a string of unsuitable suitors, it's difficult to escape the subject. When the independent-minded Elizabeth meets the handsome but enigmatic Mr. Darcy, she is determined not to let her feelings triumph over her own good sense -- but the truth turns out to be slipperier than it seems. In a society where subtle snubs and deceit proliferate, is it possible for Elizabeth and Darcy to look beyond their pride and prejudice, and to make the best match of all?
PCA’s production of Pride & Prejudice has a cast of 32 students in grades 3-12. The cast is led by seniors Heather Hollabaugh, Christopher Silverberg, Natalie Williams, Bethany Laughlin, Danielle Roach, Elizabeth Lloyd, and Emily Bell with juniors Carolyn Shannon and Mark Adams in the roles of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. Bryan Wallace, senior, designed the set, Madison Paulette, junior, is the publicity designer and junior Meaghan Kelley is the choreographer.
All performances will be held at the Eisemann Center’s Countrywide Theatre in Richardson, TX.
Showtimes:
Friday, Nov. 14 at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 15 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

DEVELOPMENT PERSONNEL ADDITIONS
06/13/08
Mr. Ken Griffin in the Development Office is transitioning from Director of Annual Giving to Senior Director of Development, which creates a need to fill his former position. I am happy to announce the appointment of two extremely qualified individuals who will serve the Development Office in two important positions.
Mrs. Celeste Cordon has been named Director of Annual Giving for the 2008-09 school year. Celeste and her husband, Ric, have been a part of the PCA family since 1999. Their son, Tony, is a PCA '03 graduate and their daughter, Brittaney, is a Senior at PCA. Mrs. Cordon has spent years actively involved in many non-profit organizations and school volunteer positions both in Florida and in Texas. As of late, she served with the Student Leadership Institute program at PCA and was a part of the team who founded St. Timothy Academy, a Christian school for students with learning differences. She has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of New Mexico.
Mrs. Melissa "Missy" Allison has been named the Development Office & Events Manager for the 2008-09 school year. Missy and her husband, Jay, enrolled their first daughter in PCA during its founding year, 1997. After relocating and then returning to Plano, the Allisons have been at PCA for seven years. They have two daughters at PCA: Ashlyn, Junior, and Madelyn, Seventh Grade. Mrs. Allison graduated from Southern Methodist University with a bachelor's degree in political science. She then spent the next six years serving the Bush/Quayle presidential terms as press travel coordinator and special assistant to the director of public affairs before joining them in the West Wing of the White House where she served as staff assistant to the office of the press secretary and the executive assistant to the assistant to the president for public events and initiatives. In recent years, Mrs Allison has been involved in several business ventures including real estate where she earned many top sales records.
Both Missy and Celeste are members of Prestonwood Baptist Church where their families are actively involved. Please join me in welcoming these two outstanding individuals to the PCA Development Office!
