Basketball State Champions 2010 & 2012

In a short amount of time, Prestonwood Basketball has made astonishing strides forward in establishing itself as one of the perennial basketball programs in the state of Texas.

Committed to excellence and development, the Lions have been to back-to-back TAPPS 5A State Championships; winning the title in 2010 and finishing as state runner-up in 2009 and 2011.

The Lions compete at an extremely high level in TAPPS District 1-5A. They play locally and also travel throughout the country playing in several of America's most respected high school basketball tournaments.

They have won five out of the last six district championships (2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010) and have also gained a myriad of exposure over the last couple of years by their success on the National stage.

The Lions have a loyal following of support extending from the Academy to Prestonwood Baptist Church to the entire Dallas metroplex.

Varsity Boys' Basketball Team Wins "City of Palms Classic"

Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Basketball Team who won the "City of Palms Classic" tournament in Fort Myers, Florida.  The "City of Palms Classic" is considered the premiere high school boys' tournament in the nation.
