Character - Biblical character is the foundation of all our programs and integrated into our curriculum and culture. Our character programs include weekly biblical character emphasis, weekly chapels, service/mission projects and student character recognition. Students are taught the importance of making wise choices based on what God’s word tells us and to be set apart for the greater glory of God, as stated in Psalms 4:3 “but know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to him.”
Academics – A rigorous “liberal arts” program (the term liberal arts denotes a curriculum that imparts general knowledge and develops the student’s rational thought and intellectual capabilities) is the standard for our Middle School curriculum. The five core classes for all students Fifth Grade through Eighth Grade include Math, English, History, Science, and Bible. In addition, elective classes include Choir, Band, Art, Theatre, Computer/Technology, Learning Lab, Future Problem Solvers, Physical Education, Study Skills, Health, and Latin.
Relationships – Biblical relationship training is a difference factor at PCA. The key biblical commandment that is used to guide us is Matthew 22:37-39 when Jesus said, “…you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Extra-Curricular—Through programming options offered in Athletics, Fine Arts, academic competitions and more, PCA Middle School students have an opportunity to further explore the gifts and talents they have been given. All extra-curricular programs are designed to balance each Middle School student’s overall educational experience at PCA.
