Gender Specific Training Emphasis

PROGRAM EMPHASIS

An important training emphasis for PCA Middle School students is our new gender specific training emphasis called Society of Sisters and Pride of Brothers. This emphasis is designed to be incorporated into PCA culture and to become a long-term strategy that will cultivate the hearts and minds of our Middle School students.

The purpose of these two programs is to more effectively produce students who represent the Portrait of a Graduate and who value the principles of the PCA Code of Honor. Therefore, it has been determined that an additional specific focus on training our Middle School girls and boys separately be incorporated into our current school training programs and culture. It is important to note that the overall goal is to “train the heart” thus creating a school culture where boys and girls understand God’s unique purpose for their lives as stated in the PCA Code of Honor, “Recognizing, with Christ-like humility that our purpose is to live for God’s Greater Glory inspires an environment of integrity, honor and character. It is this intrinsic inspiration that produces authentic school pride and cultivates an environment of self-governance that transcends rules and regulations.”

It is without question that the most important aspect of the success of this gender specific training emphasis is the relationship between parent, student and school. Our goal is to work alongside each family to help train students to become the men and women God has called them to become. We all must see the value of and be committed to the success of this culture shaping emphasis.

Our Middle School has a calendar of special activities for the Society of Sisters and Pride of Brothers 5th through 8th grade with many including parent involvement throughout the year.
