Jodi joined our office in June 2017. She feels thankful to join the PCA family. She has been serving as a College Counselor, Registrar, and Assistant High School Principal for the previous ten years at a sister Christian school. Prior to entering service in the secondary school, she worked at Collin College for six years specializing in assisting college readiness for the county in addition to college orientation and dual credit programs. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, minor in Religion at Austin College followed by a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration at Dallas Baptist University. Jodi is married to Paul and they have two Lions, Class of 2023 and Class of 2025.

Dr. Ron W. Moss has been involved in the counseling, admission and enrollment management profession for more than forty years. Nine years ago, upon completing his eighteenth year at Southern Methodist University as Dean of Admission and Executive Director of Enrollment Services, he began a new chapter in his educational career as the Director of Guidance and College Placement at Prestonwood Christian Academy. Prior to coming to SMU, Dr. Moss served as Director of Admission at Rice University for twelve years. Dr. Moss has been married to Deb for 35 years, they have two sons, John and Ben and two grandsons, Lincoln and Landon.

A seasoned professional of 16 years in the field of College Counseling, Toni joined PCA in 2020 and serves as the Assoc. Director of Academic and College Advising. She has worked in education for more than 20 years and is passionate about assisting students in fulfilling God’s plan for them. Toni has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Texas, focused in Strategic Planning, and is certified in College Counseling through UC San Diego Extension. She also holds certification as a Life Coach through Trinity Life Solutions, and Biblical Counseling through Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Toni is married to Tommy, they have three children – Melanie, Joshua, and Matthew, and three doodle dogs – Elvis, Preslie, and Finley.

The graduating class of 2020 earned over $13.2 million in merit-based and athletic scholarships. They now attend a variety of colleges in places all over the world.

CAMP COLLEGE® meets for 3 half day seminars. An overview of the COMMON APPLICATION (accepted at over 700 colleges and universities) and the APPLY TEXAS application for Texas public colleges (or another application of choice in place of APPLY TEXAS) will be presented. Two application essays (one for Common Application and one for Apply Texas or an alternate school if the student is not applying to an Apply Texas school) and a resume will be edited and polished during the 3-day seminar. Students will be given an opportunity to work on the essays during class time, with instructors available to direct and brainstorm ideas. Each essay will receive feedback from veteran editors of college application essays.

College admission officers will provide insight into the application and admission processes as part of an “Ask the Experts” panel. A practical timeline for the college admissions process will be provided to the students. An additional session will provide an overview of the admission interview.  The first day seminar will be 4 hours with the second 3 1/2 hours, and the third day a duration of 3 hours. Registration will begin in March and can be accessed through Summers at Prestonwood.
