Monday morning from 8:15 – 9:15 a.m. in the Prestonwood Baptist Church Choir practice room, our Fifth and Sixth Graders have their own chapel. Issues that are facing these Middle School students are addressed and wisdom that comes straight from God’s Word is taught each week by a variety of speakers throughout the year. Students are also given a time later in their day to pause for reflection on a particular verse each week as part of the Bible study method training that equips students to observe, interpret and apply God’s Word to their lives.
Thursday morning at 8:15 a.m. in the PCA Student Life Center, you’ll find an early morning chapel time with our Seventh and Eighth Grade students followed by their “advisory time.” The chapel is opened with praise and worship time followed by a guest speaker each week. Following chapel, the students break down into “advisory groups” – this is a time each week when small groups of students sit and talk with a teacher/mentor assigned to their group who helps facilitate discussion and guides them with wisdom from God’s Word.
