Kingdom Athletics

Watch this video from PCA's Athletic Director, Coach Chris Cunningham! Coach Cunningham explains exactly what the passion behind PCA's Kingdom athletics philosophy!

What is PCA's Athletic Philosophy?

Our heart is that every student at Prestonwood Christian Academy would be involved in Athletics in some capacity. In Athletics, we strive to develop attitudes of selflessness and humility. It is our goal to encourage, lift each other up, and challenge each student-athlete to pour themselves out on the court or field for each other and for God. Colossians 3:23 states that in "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord." It is our prayer that we would strive to glorify the Lord, both on and off our arenas of play.

We are so excited about our athletic programs continuing to expand for PCA North. We already have volleyball, basketball and track teams on campus and competing at PCA North , and we look forward to more PCA North programs as we move towards an Upper School with 9th Grade in the 2019-20 school year..

Students who participate in sports that require larger numbers of participants such as football, soccer, baseball and softball will continue to shuttle to our Plano Campus to be a part of these programs. We look forward to the near future when our numbers in these sports will allow us to have our own PCA North teams.

Swimming will continue to be offered at The Colony Aquatic Park starting in November, and our golfers will be participating in the spring Middle School tournament in April.
