Over the course of the school year, grandparents, parents, faculty and students meet four times for an all school worship time. This is a highlight for everyone as we meet in the Prestonwood Baptist Church Worship Center to reflect on the goodness of the Lord through the highlight of grandparents, diversity, student mission trips and corporate worship.
One of the highlights of the year is PCA's Middle School Retreat which occurs in early September. This one-day retreat allows students to get to know one another and focus on how God can use them in the coming year. This sets the spiritual tone for the year!
For more than 20 years, SYATP has been about students leading in prayer on campuses all over the United States and the world. Traditionally, it is held on the fourth Wednesday of September. At PCA, Lower School students gather by grade level at various times throughout their day to pray. Middle School and Upper School students, faculty and parents gather every year at 7:00 a.m. around the school’s flagpole to pray for our school, leaders and country.
Homecoming week is a great time for families and alumni to come and enjoy great fellowship and football with friends and family. The entire week is full of fun events for everyone to enjoy. Students enjoy spirited dress up days and Upper School students participate in class float building and hall decorating. We conclude the week with an on-campus parade and pep-rally to gear up for that night’s football game and the presentation of the homecoming court.
